Fixed wheel riding

60mins on the fixie, god it was hard I have forgotten how hard riding the
Fixed wheel is, a one point a bloke ran passed me, but at least I got up cotteridge hill without stopping, could not manage a run on the TM after but that's not bad.

Managed to fit in a quick 750m swim at the Gym while the girls played in the water. RH shoulder was very stiff and didn't loosen up at all. Still it's all about small steps.

Tonight Matthew i'm going to be "A Triathlete"

Yep you heard it here first Mark has reinvented himself (AGAIN) as a Triathlete. well for the next 6 months at least, god only knows what he will be claim to be after that.
So best pin back your ears as we are all in for weeks of "i always wanted to do an ironman" and "Oh yeah its all about the bike" as he bores us all with his tales of woe. I for one don't actually mind as he is actually going out and training now and that means i get to RUN and i do love RUNNING!!!
Mark has again asked me to coach him and though i know a lot about running i really don't have a clue about biking or swimming, He still hasn't figured out that i'm just a Dog!!!! but hay ho who am i to moan,
So i have just made up a training training schedule and sold it to him on pure excitement and over enthusiasm (well that's what he does to everyone else) and it goes a little something like this
Monday - rest
Tuesday - swim and run
Wednesday - bike
Thursday - swim and run
Friday - bike
Saturday - long run and swim
Sunday - long bike
repeat above till race day

i will let you know just how he gets on

back in the saddle

After running the '10in10' back in May, i decided to have a few weeks off and relax, this rest period was enforced by me getting knocked over by a Bus and not being able to run or train for a couple of weeks.
Anyway to cut a long story short I'M BACK running and swimming and biking and actually enjoying it.

SO TO THE BIG QUESTION ....? WHAT NEXT......?

I have 2 options which are

a) the Outlaw full distance triathlon (July 2011)
b) the Thames path 100 ultra (March 2011)

each day that goes by sees me swap and change between which one i want to do....?
So anyone who has an opinion please feel free to let me know

If it helps Gus wants me to choose b) as it means more training for him
